Lockheed Hudson

Started this about three years ago. http://20thcenturywargames.blogspot.com.au/2012/11/something-different.html The heaviest of my bomber collection, this aircraft will see service in multiple theatres; although in CD terms it is quite rare to have something this size in a game

In service with over a dozen nations during the Second World War

Rough in many places but tabletop ready enough. It has a full crew, including a radio operator that can't be seen, and interior detail likewise

Decals from what I could scrounge out of my spares. It still needs quite a bit of touch up work, but that will have to wait. This is by Italeri.

Hasegawa Mercedes Benz Staff Car

Bit of a classic this

Here's what it looked like to begin with. My mate Col gave me this a while ago. Check out his Blog, if you haven't already seen it http://scratchbuiltarmour.blogspot.com.au/

After some thought I decided to remove the flags

A jerrycan fell off and I still have to touch up a couple of areas, otherwise it's tabletop ready

Crew figures by Fujimi

This is what I had in mind when I started

Armourfast 251/1

Nice simple kits, perfect for wargames

My next few 251/1 additions are all going to be painted in this standard German Grey

Decals from what I could find. Need a few more of these, but with what I have so far, I can transport x2 companies of panzergrenadiers or infantry.

Making stuff

A few things I've got on the go...

Supplies

Got this ages ago for $1. It's still not quite finished...

Still need approach ramps and deck to make it functional, I got it with my Sealion project in mind

You can never have too many roads

The only Napoleonic figure in my entire collection. I'd like something on a horse if anyone has anything lying around?

Die Cast Transport

Got this online for a couple of dollars

Not exactly sure what it is, but it looks okay for 1940-50s

New paintwork and a couple of decals

Seen here with some HQ Staff..

Revell 105s

These are from the most excellent Revell horse-drawn artillery

I got these loose, along with a few other bits and pieces but never had the entire set, which I'm now on the lookout for

A lack of wheels for one of them meant I had to improvise with some spoked wheels from something a lot older; doesn't look too bad though

Each was shaded with thin black ink, then painted with Vallejo German Uniform and Highlight German Grey

I had just enough crew figures to man each piece. Might try and elevate the barrels a bit before inclusion in the scenario I'm working on.

Airfix Universal Carriers - with crew

Recent efforts to improve my carrier collection...

These two were given to me by Dave, a few years ago now. All I've done is repaint them and add crew figures, and some other little details

Number two

Just with changing heads on the standard crew figures I think you end up with a better model, The figure are a mixture of Airfix, Zvezda and Esci.

Another Matilda II

Airfix kit without the hedgehog mortar

Needed a bit of bogging here and there with green-stuff, not a great kit this one, maybe the mold is not so good anymore?

All but one of my Matilda II models are Airfix

This one rounds off two full companies, so was done up as a command platoon. My decal collection sucks, so I had to make do with anything I could find that looked about right. Still, a welcome addition.

Another Small Building

I found I needed another couple of buildings with small footprints for my current project

Sifting through my bits box I found the remnants of this farmhouse (Airfix Waterloo)

Nothing flash but it will fill a gap, maybe as a workshop, blacksmith or something of that nature

Anyway, the finished product will accommodate a maximum of x2 infantry stands or x1 small gun.

Hasegawa Japanese Trucks

A little more progress from Dave's ongoing Pacific theatre project

As always, nicely built kits

These have been painted in the standard scheme and will fit with most Japanese units of this period

They look good beside the figures, which look to be Waterloo 1815 and Esci

Nice work Dave.
